What Next After Death: the painful loss of a loved one

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted (Matthew 5:4 KJV).

I thought it wise to put across this article especially in this period, upon the death of the Fathers of some good friends in this year 2019.

Hmm, sad it was but as I sat down to contemplate the Lord laid it on my heart to say to anybody whose has lost a loved one, or a friend in one way or the other that

death isn’t the end of the journey but a path to a more glorious future for the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces;

Death is a foe, death is an enemy and Apostle Paul was right when he said in his epistle that the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. Note he didn’t say defeated but destroyed.

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death (Corinthians 15:26 KJV).

For the Christian death is defeated because of eternal life but the sting of death would be swallowed up in victory when we are clothed with our heavenly tabernacle from on high.

For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life (2 Corinthians 5:4 KJV).

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory (1 Corinthians 15:54 KJV).

Myself I have wondered and imagined what next after a close relative or friend dies?? I was not left out as I lost my father at quite a young age. It is very necessary we come to the end of ourselves knowing that life in itself without the hand of God is vanity.

It was Job who said in the book of Job that man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble. This is true to a certain extent

but for the saved person many may be the troubles as Job said; but the Lord delivers him from them all.

All we may have achieved and accumulated over the course of our lives can just vanish as a vapor when death calls (James 4:14). Sometimes I realize that coming to accept the reality of death is difficult especially if you have not been hit by such a reality.

In the book of Luke Chapter 12, the Lord made an illustration of a rich man who had plentiful and thought within himself that he had everything to make life enjoyable. However he wasn’t aware that his soul was required of him that particular day he thought to himself.

The purpose of this article is to give us a lively hope and for the Christian know that the death of someone whose life was hid with Christ in God, can never be lost in this life and the one to come.

Nay! nothing can separate us from the love of God not even death and if Jesus now holds the key of death and hades;

May I say to all reading this article that be not afraid of the one which is able to kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:

but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

This cannot be done by the devil; because he no longer holds the power of death. Remember Jesus; all power on heaven and earth has been given to me; it is not just a fact this is an eternal fact (Matthew 28:18 KJV). This includes the power of death, because death is still much a power that works in these times.

Ladies and gentlemen, when my Father died after I completed Junior High School, I shifted unto another plane in life; as I realized that yes indeed,

a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of things that he possesses yet still we see people fighting over earthly things as if it were forever.

Shall we be counted among the many that draw back unto perdition seeking after things that have no eternal significance; things that the Gentiles seek after or shall we follow the kingdom of God and its righteousness so that all shall be added unto us.

For our Heavenly Father knows that we have need of these things. We have crossed the lines; the borders have been reached, the end is near; for this is a trustworthy saying; death is once;

it is an appointment for man whose end is but dim but for the believer it is an appointment to destiny; a meeting with his creator.

Beloved; there are seasons and phases in life; there is a time to be born and a time to die. Many have walked the path of this earth and have treaded upon this earth.

All is but a mystery but never forget this; we are but strangers and pilgrims in this world and our lives here is not forever.

The real life is after we have exited this earthly tabernacle (body) and Paul gave as a hint of that life; in the book of (Philippians 1:23 KJV). For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better

This is our hope; I bring you a message of hope; In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible; but note

It is the dead in Christ who shall rise first and we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Rejoice; for I hear a voice from heaven say; Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them (Revelation 14:13 KJV).

For if in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable; but thanks be unto God who has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.
