Blog Title: Society’s Definition Of Success Is Why You Are Unhappy
This is my second community pick for the year, in the month of February and in this blog the author discusses how each of us have a different path and shouldn’t define success by the worlds standards.
Eunice is a young African blogger from Tanzania. She loves to blog, loves to write and in her blog she shares tips that have worked for her and also focuses on everything about life and faith.
In this blog which happens to be my pick for the month, i couldn’t agree much with her and this article reechoed the words of Apostle Paul in his letters to the church at Corinth in 2 Corinthians 10:12.
“For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise (KJV).”
Certainly, we may all get to a point in our lives where we may be tempted to compare our progress in life with others but when this becomes a preoccupation here lies the danger since such a rivalry is unhealthy and unwise.
“As we are all wired differently and someone’s definition of success can be different from another’s.”– Eunice Tossy
Of course we should endeavor to be the best in whatever field of endeavor we find ourselves not giving room for mediocrity but the accumulation of wealth and riches should not become an obsession such that it’s affect your internal peace because
true success is a state of complete physical and mental wellbeing.
In her blog, Eunice defines success as fulfillment, internal peace and love as she points to the fact that living life without peace, especially internal peace is not living at all.
Check out her blog and read the full article as you learn more about why you shouldn’t view success through the lens of society’s definition.
This is just the second of many more community picks of the month to come; stay blessed and let’s all keep on blogging to the glory of God. He is the reason we blog.
