Remember this!
Even in the smallest details of our lives, God is present and we can testify of His goodness.
Not long ago, in my final year at school before I completed my tertiary education, I had a couple of issues with my phone, and one didn’t need to tell you I needed a phone if you saw the state my phone was in.
The final blow to my phone came when I needed to use my pen top as an aid to put my phone on and it wasn’t long when my phone saw it’s timely death.
Of Course, I knew I needed a phone; guess you agree I did too?? But I never asked God for one, I was perhaps thinking of managing it in addition to one other non- smart phone I took from my sister. We use to call those ones “yam phones.”
So yes! Let me try and summarize my story, so I don’t make it too long. I know you people and their dislike for long reads. So yes someway, somehow, I didn’t pray, not because I lacked the faith to do so, is just didn’t sink with me to ask God.
So yes, coming to the climax of my story, the school gave us a short break but before I headed home, my cousin texted me and told me to pick up a gift from someone when I get home.
Off course, I never imagined that to be a phone. The truth was, even if I was thinking about a phone, my expectation wasn’t an IPhone. It was not on my radar.
But lo! and behold, when I got the gift and opened it, to my surprise it was an IPhone 8. Apparently, my cousin told me this after, “that before she contemplated on giving the phone out, she had this strong conviction that the phone belonged to me.”

Surprising isn’t?? I never told her anything about my phone and she never knew, anything about the state of my phone.
This conviction she had; had to be the Lord laying my need upon her heart.
Apparently when I met her, I told her jokingly that if she had not heeded to that conviction she would have deprived me “big time.” I am very much grateful to her too, because she heeded to God’s leading to be used as a vessel.
Anyway let me try and conclude. I know, the post is getting longer isn’t? God bless you for reading this far. But in concluding, I would want to put across what the Lord taught me from this experience and what it means for us as Christians.
God knows our every need and His promise of doing exceeding abundantly beyond whatever that we can ask or think stems out of the love and heart He has for us.
In my case, I needed a phone and would have settled for any phone at all; but God had other ideas, He wanted to give me the best.
By God’s grace it is through this same IPhone that I got access to WordPress and started my blog to propagate the word of God to the world out there.
This was God’s message of love telling me of His wonderful plan for His children for eye hasnot seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him”(1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV).
Whatever God has prepared for you is the best. Watch out, wait on Him, be still and you will know that He is Lord.
You can also share your story; what did God give you that you needed but you didn’t ask for?? Would love to hear?
Scriptures To Keep Hold Of
1. For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11 KJV)
2. For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:32-33 KJV).
3. Casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully] (1 Peter 5:7 AMP).
4. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; (Philippians 4:6 NKJV).
5. And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose (Romans 8:28 AMP).
Shalom🙌🏻
This is truly an amazing story George. God surprises us in so many ways. But one thing I learnt from this though is that we have to wait on God while believing that he cares for us needs and wants only the BEST for us.
Love the scriptures too. Very reassuring and inspiring💚🙏
