God must have given us this body of weakness and fragility on this earth perhaps to teach us one of the most important fruit of the Spirit.

The Virtue of Self Control, which in the sight of God is of great price. But I found out that this fruit cannot be learnt in insolation. One time I sat contemplating, asking God why He allowed us to be tabernacled in these earthen vessels here on earth.

Because there are times I grow weary even as a believer. We all do sometimes, isn’t it?? Off Course the weakness of the body now is as a result of the sin of the fallen man.

Oh how I wish! earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with my house which is from heaven. That this corruptible put on incorruption, and this mortality puts on immortality.

So even now, we which have the firstfruits of the Spirit; groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body (Romans 8:23).

Not to drag you far, know this one thing, that even in the weakness of your flesh, His strength is made perfect, for He has given us of His Spirit that though the body be dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Having SELF- CONTROL as a believer sets you apart and it is amidst the contradictions you experience in the days of your flesh that you can grow in this virtue.

That is your proof, to show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
