The Gospel in Christendom is the good news of the message of Jesus Christ, His life and ministry. It is not just a story, or a cunningly devised fable of some sort and this truth must be internalized if we wish to see the true power of the gospel.

It is that which is from the beginning, which was heard, which was seen, which was looked upon, which was handled, was experienced and passed on unto us. A very proof of the infallible word of God which is ever sure and eternal!

So what is the truth of the gospel?? The truth of the gospel is the message and doctrine of Christ which reveals the deity, life and ministry of Jesus as revealed in the New Testament but which in recent times have come some who seek to twist and pervert this truth.

But without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory ( 1 Timothy 3:16 KJV).

This is the truth of the gospel we hold and the very foundation of our faith. Christian soldiers, let us arise and defend that which we were apprehended for!

Holding forth that word of life; that we may rejoice in the day of Christ as soldiers of the cross who fought a good fight, finished the course and kept the faith.

May the Good Lord help us in this stead.
